Graphic Prints and Graphic Colds

Hey everyone.  Hubs and I are sick.  We got colds at church on Sunday, and are suffering together.  While I am resting, I looked around on the Neiman Marcus Home & Entertaining website.  I found some inspiring bedding and bedrooms.  Whenever we have extra cash, it is going to go straight to the bedroom.  We really don’t have any nice bedding.  Just hand-me-downs from our former bachelor/bachelorette lives.  These three rooms really got me inspired.  It’s difficult to find bedding that both a man and wife can both enjoy.  (My husband is VERY picky).  Here are some that would definitely work.

Beautiful Bedrooms and Dinner

Love the duvet and the little easel on the bedside table.

Love the chandelier and the interesting way it is hung above the bed, and just look at that headboard!!

Love the side table and the Greek Key room divider.  What about that wall of drapes behind the bed?

Love the original artwork, again on an amazing easel.  I want to pick up that guitar and strum away.

Well, this one is obvious.  The pillows on the bed…..oh! and the ceiling too, I guess :)

Love the recessed headboard. 

These two pinkies are just precious.  I love the monogram pillows.  Nice touch.

Sorry so Long!

Happy Belated Easter to everyone.  I hope y’all had a great weekend celebrating our Lord’s resurrection with family and friends.  Hubby and I went to church and then cooked at home.   I took a nap, and he watched a movie.  Pretty low key, I would say.

Weekend Duty

I am looking forward to the weekend.  The giveaway for the Dior handbag will end tonight at midnight!  I’m excited to see who will win.  I am also on the “hunt” for new things to accessorize our humble apartment.  We can’t paint the walls, but you can do a lot for a room with accessories.  Most importantly, window treatments. 

I always fall asleep before hubby, and I turn off the lights upstairs.  He is always bumbling around trying to find the bathroom.  So, I thought about getting a nightlight.  Here is a beautiful one from Gump’s.

We are also in dire need of draperies, so I have been looking around for the perfect pair.  Below are some draperies from my favorite place Silk Trading Company.  Click on each picture for more information.

The following pictures are from Southern Living Magazine. 

Above these curtains are very neutral.  They are essentially the same color as the walls, but they add layering, which adds interest.  You will also notice they are reversible.  Very classy, but very simple.

These are so sweet!  Little cafe curtains.  They add a dimension of layer, but are very flirty.  I don’t tend to go with too much color.  If I used these curtains, it would be because I didn’t have a lot of color in the space.  They would be adorable in an all white kitchen or a neutral bathroom.

I would love to see some of your design spaces.  My apartment is a work in progress.  If I can get some good photos, I will post them over the weekend.
