I am a huge fan of Grandmother’s Buttons Jewelry out of St. Francisville, LA. This is a quaint small town about 20 miles north of my hometown of Baton Rouge. I am making Blueberry Streusel as I speak. The house smells yummy. My husband goes to work today at 3pm, so I always try to have a decent/nice breakfast for him on the afternoons when he works. The cat is looking at me through the screen door and my pup is at my feet. It is a beautiful day outside. Not a cloud in the sky. It has been gloomy and rainy in the deep south over the past few weeks. So, the nice weather is respite.
Being from Louisiana, I love all things Louisiana. My husband, not so much, but this blog isn’t about him, is it?? I didn’t think so. When I found out that Helen Mirren (one of my favorites) has a home in New Orleans, I was thrilled! Here are some shots from the inside. They can be found in Architectural Digest.
